Starter/Travel Set for Oily/Combination/Normal Skin A selection of 4 generous products (+-30 days) ideal for travelling, giving or trying out the range. FOR OILY / COMBINE / NORMAL SKIN. The set contains:

  • 50ml Gel Cleanser – a foaming, tingling wash that cleanses without drying
  • 30ml Hydrating Mist – a refreshing facial spray with active ingredients that revitalize and improve the condition of the skin, while protecting against environmental damage.
  • 20ml Deep Moisturiser – moisturizes and maintains balance without leaving oily or dry areas.
  • 12ml Hyaluronic Serum – an intensely hydrating serum with hyaluronic acid to promote rapid hydration and reduce inflammation. Prebiotics help optimize the skin's microbiome.
Hyaluronic acid:
  • Hyaluronic Acid – binds 10 times its own weight in water and therefore has a moisturizing and plumping effect. Increases the penetration of other active ingredients and subsequent products.
  • Probiotics – this serum contains 1 million inactivated Lactobacillus bacteria per ml (BIOME+ Level 3) but also an extract of lysed (crushed) bacterial cells (BIOME+ Level 2). These probiotic extracts can send signals to skin cells. The effect of the cell communication is an improvement in barrier function and reduced transepidermal water loss.
  • Prebiotic mix – Esse's own prebiotic mix includes Inulin, Alpha-glucan Oligosaccharides and Yacon root extract, to favor the growth of healthy skin microbes.
  • Myrothamnus Extract – this extract from the Namibian Resurrection plant is very high in antioxidants, and also has a rapid moisturizing effect that lasts for 24 hours.
  • Rooibos and Olive Leaf Extracts – antioxidants that protect collagen and elastin.
Deep:
  • Prebiotics and probiotics - improve and nourish the skin's microbiome, which will strengthen the barrier function.
  • Rooibos, Baobab Fruit Extract and vitamin C – are all potent antioxidants that bind to free radicals that cause premature aging.
  • Grape Seed Extract – antioxidant, improves skin structure by increasing the production of collagen and elastin.
  • Olive Leaf Extract – antioxidant properties that protect against aging caused by UV radiation.
  • Hyaluronic Acid – increases skin moisture, reduces fine lines and inhibits inflammation.
  • Kigelia Extract – increases skin firmness and elasticity. Repairs damage caused by the sun.
  • Yangu & Manketti Oils – provide natural sun protection, at around SPF4. For prolonged sun exposure, we recommend extra SPF.

Hydrating mist:

  • Rose Flower Water – is a light astringent that, together with vanilla, gives a delicious scent
  • Rooibos Leaf Extract – provides powerful antioxidant protection that boosts the skin's immune system
  • Olive Leaf Extract – is an antioxidant that protects against pollution and sun damage.

How to use products

For best results, follow the guidelines below for how to use the kit:

Weeks 1 and 2: Start with Gel Cleanser and Deep Moisturiser. We recommend using Gel Cleanser in the evening to remove make-up and sunscreen, and a rinse with lukewarm water in the morning. ?

Week 3: Introduce Hydrating Mist once a day before moisturizing

Week 4: Increase use of Hydrating Mist to twice daily while monitoring your skin to ensure it is comfortable with its new routine.

Week 5: Introduce Hyaluronic Serum three times a week, gradually building up to daily use in the evening.
